Amazon delivery boys arrested for online fraud

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police has arrested a computer graduate along with four delivery boys of Amazon nabbed in online fraud by the staff of PS Samai Pur Badli along with the recovery of one mobile phone, 2 LED TVs and 16 packing wrappers of Amazon.

On February 11, an official of Amazon shopping site filed a complaint at Samai Pur Badli regarding cheating by some unknown.

He alleged that some unknown person is purchasing different costly items from their online shopping portal with fake names and addresses. After delivery of item the unknown accused person complained to Amazon that the delivered items are either defective or some parts are missing in the item. In some cases, the accused person used to return the item by changing the same with old one.

Through technical surveillance, one delivery boy identified as Chander Shekhar, a resident of Badli, Delhi was nabbed and one mobile phone was recovered from him.

"During sustained interrogation, he disclosed that one Mohit Nasa from Sonepat, Haryana is the main conspirator and he used to run a computer and mobile shop in Sec- 3, Rohini," said Gaurav Sharma, DCP, Outer North.

The main conspirator Mohit Nasa was arrested and 16 wrappers of Amazon were recovered from him. He had purchased these items with different names and addresses by creating fake IDs on Amazon & delivery boys were part of his conspiracy, all the five accused are arrested the first time," the DCP said.
