Ad-hoc teachers continue protest

New Delhi: Delhi University's ad-hoc teachers continued their protest on Thursday, over regularisation of the posts. This comes even after the Ministry of Human Rights Development (MHRD) agreed to some of the urgent demands of the DU Teachers Association (DUTA). However, students and teachers have complained that the Vice-Chancellor has not initiated any dialogue with the ad-hoc teachers over the issue.

The university teachers have camped on the lawns outside the vice-chancellor's office in large numbers protesting the vacant teaching positions in several dozen colleges of Delhi University. Meanwhile, a meeting is supposed to take place on December 13, where the final decision whether the protest will continue or not will take place.
