AC mechanic held for murdering woman

In a brutal murder of a woman in east Delhi's Shakarpur, Delhi Police has arrested an air condioner mechanic along with his accomplice.

The two men, Mukesh Kumar and Rahul Kumar, with an intention to rob Sangita Bansal, entered her house at the first floor in Shakarpur at around 10 pm on July 13. They first murdered her with a sharp edged weapon and later robbed the gold and cash from the house.

"One of the accused Rahul knew the deceased as he was a AC mechanic and used to come to repair AC at the deceased house. The accused disclosed that they owned money from several persons and were heavily in debt, due to this pressure they both planned to commit the henious crime," said Additional DCP East Sathiyasundaram .

The sister in law saw the two men carrying a plastic bag. She informed her husband about it and when they opened the door, they saw her blood soaked body lying on the floor with deep injuries.
