AAP to decide post-poll action plan today
NEW DELHI: The AAP is likely to hold a meeting of the senior leaders on Wednesday to discuss the situation and the plan of action after the poll result. The party has already decided to go with any non-BJP formation in the Centre with the only demand of granting full statehood to Delhi. "The party has already taken the decision to go with any non-BJP formation other things will be clear after the result and we will plan the moves in the meeting," said a leader.
The demand for the full statehood was the key demand of the AAP and the party fought the election with this demand. The AAP is also in touch with the regional parties like Trinamool and TDP among others.
"Leaders like Mamata Banerjee and Chandra Babu Naidu have already assured us that they are with us in support of the demand of the full statehood." said a senior leader. The AAP senior leaders also asserted that the party learned that there would be a lesser possibility of a party with a single majority to form a government in the Centre.
Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, "In this election, AAP's MPs will play a key role in forming the government. Many opposition parties have already supported our demand and the alliance of these parties will form the government in the Centre this time, therefore, we will not face any issues in passing the bill on full-statehood."
