9-yr-old boy found dead with wounds in Prahladpur

A nine-year-old boy was found dead with burn injuries and stab wounds in a parking lot in Pul Prahaladpur area on Tuesday.

The boy is identified as Izak James, was missing since Tuesday afternoon and was later found by some passersby who informed the police.

The police have so far remained tight-lipped about the nature of injuries and whether the boy was tortured before his death.

The police have claimed that the postmortem will be conducted on Thursday after which the facts of the case will come to light.

The deceased lived with his family comprising of his father Ravi who runs a cable tv business and two sisters.

According to his family members, the boy had left thehouse in afternoon to play with his friends. However, despite a few hours passed, he did not come back to the house.

The family tried to trace his whereabouts and could not find him.

After the police traced his body from the parking lot behind LIG DDA flats, the family members identified him.

The police are not commenting on the reasons for the murder and are investigating the case from all angles.
