5 robberies where bizmen were targeted solved, 4 held
New Delhi: Five cases of robbery with businessmen were solved after Delhi Police arrested four criminals in Bawana area on July 31. The investigators said that the accused had a permanent informer in the form of a juvenile who gave information to accused about the movement of cash.
Police identified the accused as Parvesh (23), Anuj (34), Sonu Swami (24) and Ravi (24). Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Gaurav Sharma said in last few months, some incidents were reported in which robbers used to come on different motorcycles to rob the businessman of cash only. "In some incidents, the complainants were targeted when they were proceeding to their houses, in the evening, with the cash after closing his shop or factory," said Gaurav Sharma. A team of special staff started their investigation.
DCP Outer North further added that the accused were arrested when they have come to recce one liquor Shop in sector 4 in DSIIDC Bawana. "One juvenile who used to work in shops, factories gave accused details regarding cash movement. The juvenile roams in the area or visits some shops by this way he collected information about the movement of cash" said DCP Sharma.
On May 28, cash Rs 60,000 and two mobile phones were robbed from a businessmen in Pooth Khurd. On June 11, this gang robbed cash Rs. 3,80,000 from a businessman at gunpoint while he was going to his factory in Bawana. They have also fired on the windscreen of the car of the businessmen.
On June 27, another businessman was robbed of cash Rs 70,000 in Sector-1, DSIDC, Bawana, while he was closing his shop. On June 28, the criminals robbed Rs 5,82.000 cash form a businessman of liquor shop while he was going to bank for deposit the cash.
On July 23, a bag containing some articles and documents was robbed from a businessman at Mungeshpur Village.
