22-yr-old woman commits suicide by hanging herself

A 22-year-old woman was found hanging in her house in south Delhi on Friday, police said.

An alleged suicide note found on the deceased, identified as Vandana, stated that she's responsible for her death and no one should be blamed, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Chinmoy Biswal told media.

Biswal said the woman, a native of Uttar Pradesh, was staying with her cousin in Moti Bagh for four years and pursuing B.Sc. Lab Technician course from a city college.

Police said her cousin called up around 5.50 a.m. to inform that Vandana had committed suicide by hanging.

Soon, the cops reached the spot and took down the body.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital but was declared brought dead.

Though the girl held none responsible for the suicide but even then the cops are verfying what caused the girl to take the extreme step.

Her call details are also scrutanised to know if she was in touch with someone before allegedly committing the suicide.

The friends and family members of the girl are also being questioned to know if they know an apparent reason for Vandana to take her life.

The body has been shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for autopsy.
