2 criminals held in separate incidents

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Monday said that they have arrested two criminals after brief exchange of fire in separate places in Delhi. According to police on October 14, Special Cell received information that one Imran (criminal) will come towards Rajghat Depot. At Around 8.10 PM, the accused was spotted on a scooty. In order to escape, the suspect fired three rounds from his pistol.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (special cell) Pramod Kushwah said that retaliating in self-defence, raiding also fired four rounds. Accused suffered gunshot injury in his leg during an exchange of fire. In another case, a team of Special Cell under ACP Attar Singh arrested one Anand after a brief exchange of fire near Bhalswa landfill at about 9 pm on Monday. Police said that the accused fired many rounds towards the police team. Head Constable Rakesh Kumar was hit by a bullet fired by accused, but he was saved by bulletproof jacket he was wearing. "The police team also fired in self-defence in which Tushar was injured in his right leg," said DCP special cell.
