The Delhi Metro will conduct an advanced training programme on 'ballastless tracks' for the professionals of urban rail-based systems across the nation and also the neighbouring countries, an official statement said on Sunday.
The ballastless technology facilitates the movement of trains at high speed and requires very less maintenance. The three-day programme from August 10-12 at the Delhi Metro Training Institute at Shastri Park will focus on various aspects of maintenance of ballastless tracks, which are now being used by several Metro systems, including Delhi Metro, the statement said.
