Deepika liked participating in sports and drama as a child

Actor Deepika Padukone has won hearts of many with her acting skills, but she has revealed that as a child she was more interested in sports.

“In school I was always interested in extra-curricular activities. I did not enjoy studying as much as I used to like taking part in sports, drama and performing,” Deepika said at Nickelodeon Kids’ Awards show. The Piku actor feels the children today are quite confident and talented.

“I remember when we were kids we were not as confident (as kids of today) and did not have (so many) opportunities. Today kids have lot of opportunities and they are extremely confident. It’s nice to see their talent being appreciated,” she said. 

Meanwhile, Deepika is busy working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati in which she will be seen alongside Ranveer Singh.
