CPI(M) urges party workers to unite

CPI(M) secretary Sitaram Yechury on Sunday urged the party workers to take a pledge to oust the Trinamool Congress (TMC) from the state and the BJP from the Centre as they are “enemy of  the people”. He said law and order situation in the state has deteriorated and the state was now being ruled by criminals. He said “no one can crush the red flag. Hitler tried, but he failed in his mission, Trinamool is trying to do this and will face disaster.” He was addressing a party rally at the Brigade Parade ground in connection with the plenum. He said CPI(M) could provide an alternative and the ways and means to be adopted to oust the BJP government would be framed in the plenum. Criticising the BJP, Yechury said the Prime Minister was holding meeting with Nawaz Sharif but his party was not allowing Pakistan cricket team to play in the country and not allowing Gulam Ali to take part in a concert in Mumbai. Left Front chairman Biman Bose said in January 2016, programmes would be launched to build close contact with people. A six-day -long rally would be organised from Singur to Salboni to unite people to save the state from the misuse of the TMC.
