Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Monday said that the Congress government was not afraid of the “charge-sheet” being prepared against it by the BJP.
“The BJP must be ready to face legal action if any baseless or unfounded charges are levelled against ministers or party leaders in their charge-sheet,” he said after inaugurating a government college’s administrative block in Paonta Sahib.
Singh said the government would take action against any person found involved in corruption, irrespective of status and stature.
Taking a dig at the BJP for preparing a “charge-sheet” against the government, the Chief Minister said,” The party is already facing charges of omission and commission levelled against it in a Congress charge-sheet.”
Dubbing allegations of corruption against the Congress by national BJP chief Amit Shah at Solan on Sunday “uncalled for”, he said it was the BJP’s old habit to indulge in character assassination and misguide people.
