Complaint lodged against ex-husband for uploading pics, contact details on porn site

A 25-year-old woman has filed a complaint against her former husband for allegedly uploading her pictures and her contact details on a porn website.

The victim reported that she had got married to the accused, identified as Harjeet Singh Sidhu, in 2014.

Sources revealed that three months after their marriage, the duo got divorced but still the accused kept on uploading pictures of his ex-wife on a social media site threatening her to stop asking for alimony. Later, the former husband uploaded her pictures with her contact details on a porn site as well. The victim started to get calls from April 13 this year.

The victim, a resident of Hari Nagar, complained that she was receiving calls from people who took her number from the porn website and has been facing harassment by random callers.

The victim is originally from Bangalore and has said that when they got divorced, she had asked her husband to return her private pictures which were saved in his phone and laptop.

The husband denied to return the photos and has been living in Switzerland ever since their separation.

The victim also revealed that her former husband’s family didn’t inform her when her husband was sent to Switzerland (during the time when she was married).

Later, when the husband was in Switzerland, he told his wife that their marriage was over even before the divorce and asked her to stop calling him.

When the victim confronted him about the heinous crime that her husband had done to her, he blatantly said that: “This is just a trailer, wait and watch what I do in the movie.”

The victim had alleged that even last month on March 2, she had registered a complaint against her former husband but no action was taken.

This time, the police without wasting any time, have begun their investigation.

A case has been registered in Sector 18, Gurgaon, police station against her former husband under Sections 354(D) (stalking using any mode of internet, email or electronic communication) of the Indian Penal Code and 66 (C) of IT Act (punishment of identity theft).
