CM meets TMC leaders including Mukul at Trinamool Bhavan

Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee along with Mukul Roy on Friday went to the Trinamool Bhavan and held a meeting.

Veteran party leader Subrata Mukherjee and Firhad Hakim were also present there. After one year, Roy visited the Trinamool Bhavan. It may be mentioned that Roy recently accompanied Banerjee during her trip to Darjeeling. There was speculation about Friday’s meeting. Some said that as BJP has decided to go all out against Trinamool highlighting its connection with chit fund companies, the leaders held a meeting to chalk out a strategy to counter the BJP. 

The others said that as Rahul Gandhi would meet Congress leaders on electoral alliance with the Left on February 1, Trinamool wanted to assess what they should do if the Congress high command offers poll ties with it. Roy was invited for the meeting as he is an expert in national politics.
