City experiences coldest day

The city on Monday experienced its coldest day so far with the mercury dipping to 12.6 degree Celsius which is one degree below normal. 

Monday was the coldest day of this season. The maximum temperature remained at 25.6 degree Celsius in the city.  

Regional Meteorology Department at Alipore said that cold wave will sweep across North Bengal and some parts of South Bengal in next few days. 

South Bengal districts including Burdwan, Birbhum, Bankura, Midnapore will experience cold wave in next couple of days. 

The temperature in the state dipped after the cloudy sky that prevented people from feeling the chill was cleared.
