CBI files chargesheet, spares Raja Bhaiyya

The Central Bureau of Investigation  on Friday filed its chargesheet in the three-month-old murder case of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Zia-ul-Haq but spared former minister and Independent MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya.

Sources, however, said that the name of Raja Bhaiyya could be included in the supplementary chargesheet as the court will hear the demand of the CBI for lie detection test on the legislator on 11 June.

The 42-page charge heet was filed in the special CBI court of Mirza Zeenat making 14 people, accused in the murder of the Dy SP in wake of the killing of Walipur Pradhan Naneh Yadav and his brother Suresh on 2 March in Kunda of Pratapgarh district.

The CBI had made Yogendra alias Babloo, son of the Pradhan as main accused. They said he shot  the DySP, along with Pradhan’s two brothers Phoolchand and Pawan. Sources aid CBI claimed that Babloo has shot the DSP by a . 315 rifle.

Seven other accused, including Manjit Yadav, a private security of Pradhan, were also made accused in the chargesheet. 

Other accused in the chargesheet are Chotelal Yadav, Ghanshyam Saroj, Ramlakhan Gautam, Munna Patel, Ram Asre, Shivram Pasi, Jagat Bahadur Pal, Sudhir Yadav, Suresh Yadav and Bhule Pal.
According to the details of the chargesheet Ajay Pal and his brother Vijay Pal have been charged for murder of Nanhe Yadav and his brother. Driver of Raja Bhaiyya, Guddu Singh and Raju have been charged with criminal conspiracy while Rakesh Narain Pal has been booked for hiding the murder weapon.

The CBI had recently moved an application for polygraph test of Raja Bhaiyya which the court is expected to decide on Tuesday next.
