Carved and crafted

Bihar Utsav 2015 is showcasing the different and unique talent of Bihar’s artisans. It has become the centre of attraction for the art and Handicraft lovers here at INA Dilli haat in the Capital. The Exhibition cum sale of handicraft and handloom product of Bihar made by artisans of Bihar, is an endeavour to showcase art, culture and heritage of Bihar. The Development of tourism of Bihar through painting exhibition of tourism place in Bihar is main attraction of Bihar Utsav 2015.

Wooden art by Gaya artisan Dheeraj Verma attracted the visitors on his stall.  He is very well- known in Bihar due to his wooden art. Recently he made 400 pieces of Thinking Buddha for International Buddhist Conclave and 160 pieces of Mahabodhi Temple on the 100th year celebration of Bihar High Court.                                                                                                    

He collects gamhar, kema and other woods from Varansai, Assam and Nigeria to make the beautiful wooden art. He also said all these art are handmade.

Apart from wooden art stall, People from different part of Delhi visited to taste the delicious food of Bihar. There are around 20 stalls.  Main attractions on the different Stalls are Bhagalpuri silk, Madubani paintings, Siki products, famous handloom bed sheets of Basman Bigha.
