PSPCL conducts raids to curb power theft

Patiala: To curb menace of electricity theft, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) is successfully conducting raids in the state. Spokesman of PSPCL disclosed that 7 teams of Enforcement Patiala circle of PSPCL checked the premises of 161 consumers of Kharar and Mohali areas here.

Spokesman said that total penalty of Rs 31.15 lakh have been imposed on 21 consumers on account of electricity theft. PSPCL has appealed to all citizens/its consumers to help corporation in controlling the menace of theft of electricity by providing information about theft of power for campaign against theft of electricity in the state. Consumers/informers can also inform about theft of electricity on Whatsapp no 96461-75770. PSPCL assured its consumers that their identity will not be disclosed.
