NTPC Bongaigaon successfully commissions UNIT 2 at full load

The NTPC-Bongaigaon team has shown its dedication once again by successfully commissioning of its Unit 2 at Full Load i.e., 250 MW at 7:48 pm on March 22.
The first unit of the station is generating sustainable commercial power for the last 12 months and the commissioning of Unit 2 has added a new feather to its cap.
It is expected that the unit will start commercial generation from April, 2017 onwards, of which Assam will get 50 per cent of the power generated.
With this the capacity of the plant has now become 500 MW.
Other than generating power, NTPC-Bongaigaon is doing a lot of community development works in the vicinity, NTPC-Bongaigaon saod in a press release.
