NLC's half-yearly profit grows by 68.18% to Rs 1337.84 crore

The company's profit before tax for the half year ended September 30 stood at Rs 1337.84 crore (+68.18%) as compared to Rs 795.50 crore in the corresponding half-year of the previous year and Company's profit after tax for the half year ended September 30 stood at Rs. 642.97 crore (+21.05%) as compared to Rs. 531.17 crore in the corresponding half year of the previous year. The Company's profit before tax for the quarter stood at Rs 686.13 crore (+55.41%) as compared to Rs 441.49 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year and Company's profit after tax stood at Rs. 326.88 crore (+8.81%) as compared to Rs. 300.42 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Further, power surrender by the beneficiaries is 615.14 MU (+33.03%) compared to 462.39 MU in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
