HFCL delivers another quarter of improved profits

New Delhi: HFCL Limited, formerly known as Himachal Futuristic Communications Limited, India's leading telecom infrastructure developer, system integrator and manufacturer of high-end telecom equipment and optical fibre cables, announced its results for the second quarter and half year ended September 30, 2019.

For the second quarter of Financial Year 2019-20, the Company reported consolidated revenue of Rs 983 crore (-19%), EBIDTA Rs 141 crore (+47%), PBT Rs 103 crore (+45%), Tax 37 crore (+76%) and PAT - Rs 66 crore (+32%).

For the half year ended, the Company reported consolidated revenue of Rs 2,330 crore (+1%), EBIDTA - Rs 335 crore (+75%), PBT Rs 260 crore (+81%), Tax 77 Crs (+64%) and PAT - Rs 183 crore (+89%).

On standalone basis, the company reported a quarterly revenue of Rs 927 crore (-19%), EBIDTA of Rs 131 crore (+58%), PBT of Rs 101 crore (+66%), Tax of Rs 38 crore (+81%) and PAT of Rs 63 crore (+58%).

For the half year ended on standalone basis, the company achieved revenue of Rs 2,131 crore (-2%), EBIDTA of Rs 295 crore (+72%), PBT of Rs 237 crore (+81%), Tax of Rs 84 crore (+79%) and PAT of Rs 153 crore (+82%).

Commenting on the performance, Mahendra Nahata, the Managing Director said, "the Company has delivered yet another quarter of increased profit and margin. Our sustained all round efforts towards margin improvement yielded good results. We continue to improve our product and EPC contract mix with enhanced contribution and higher margin. Margin improvement was also aided by various operational measures aimed at improved efficiency, cost control and speedy project

execution."
