RANCHI: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has been certified under ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001: 2015 (Environmental Management System) and OHSAS 18001: 2007 (Security Management System). CCL has been given ISO certification under the Integrated Management System in three parameters, i.e., ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Under this open mines, workshops, washeries, hospitals and mines rescue stations, including headquarter is also certified. It is also first time in Coal India and its subsidiaries that washeries have been included in the certification. ISO 9001 certification is awarded for quality, ISO 14001 for Environment, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

CCL has received the above certificates for compliance with the international standards, making it the first company in Jharkhand to achieve this feat. This certification will add towards the focus of the company towards quality, environment, vocational health and safety, thus giving the leverage to the process of continuous improvement and innovation. It needs to be noted that as per this International Certification, the designated body will continuously monitor the certified process and units of the company through regular audits. This highest certification of its own kind has not only added another feather in the crown of CCL but also set a benchmark for other organisations to follow, particularly in Jharkhand.

Jharkhand under the leadership of its CM Raghubar Das has made its mark across country and among the foreign investors for its pro industry policies and good governance. The motivating guidance of our honorable Rail & Coal Minister Piyush Goyal has helped us to lay a strong foundation, which has pushed CCL to break one record after another, in last 4 years. Our commitment to "Power for All" will certainly get a boost with this certification.

It needs to be noted that CCL, under the able leadership of CMD Gopal Singh, with production of 41.65 MT coal, has registered 12% in coal production in the first three quarters of current year in comparison to the corresponding period in last FY and simultaneously registered an increase of 8% in coal dispatch. In the current fiscal (2018-19), till January 31, the company has produced 48.5 Million Tonnes (MT) coal, which is 5.6 MT (13%) more than the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
