Record productions at IISCO steel plant

Bar Mill of IISCO Steel Plant at Burnpur recorded its highest ever production in a day on July 3 by producing 2495 Tons of 20mm (Millimeter) TMT bars in FE 500D EQR grade. The Mill had previously touched its best ever mark of 2431 Tons in January this year.
Following it's commissioning on 25.2.2015, this state-of-the-art Bar Mill with a top notch speed of 40 meter per seconds and an annual production capacity of 0.90 Million Tons per annum has been rolling out TMT bars in the straight length of sizes 8mm to 40mm.
There bars are then thermo mechanically treated to make them resistant to earthquake. TMT bars produced from the Mill are currently catering to the needs of the market in the North East regions, West Bengal, Orissa, Punjab and Andhra Pradesh.
Congratulating the employees for this achievement, Chief Executive Officer Rajesh Kumar Rathi said that in June the Plant has also recorded the highest monthly dispatch of 280 Blooms and produced 5300 Tons of 5.6 – 6 mm Wire Rod Coils in Special Steel grade from its new Wire Rod Mill. No wonder, the monthly Saleable Steel production of the Plant has touched its best ever mark of 1, 39,279 Tons in June this year.
