Book on 'chillax' PM

'If there was a gold medal for chillaxing Dave would win it,' an ally of David Cameron says in a new book about the relaxed lifestyle of the British prime minister who enjoys watching DVDs and loves karaoke, tennis and date nights with wife Samantha.

The book - Cameron: Practically a Conservative - says Cameron has a karaoke machine at his country retreat Chequers and often invites friends over for a game of snooker, the Daily Mail reported.

The prime minister does not find it difficult to switch off from the pressures of leading the country.

Cameron has been dubbed 'DVD Dave', with photographs taken inside his Downing Street residence showing the top couple had '24', 'Desperate Housewives' and 'Band of Brothers' in their collection. The prime minister was also pictured enjoying a swanky meal with his wife Samantha on one of their weekly 'date nights'.

The book reveals that on the first Christmas since he moved to Downing Street, Cameron's friends gave him a karaoke machine.

There is a machine that fires tennis balls, which he nicknamed 'the Clegger' after his battle against Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg in the 2010 elections.

His Sunday afternoon consists of a 'crap film on telly', playing with the children, cooking, having three or four glasses of wine.
