BJP gears up for Modi’s rally in Varanasi

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for a massive show of strength as its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will address a rally in the temple town of Varanasi which the party leaders claim a complete sell out. Modi had earlier addressed rallies in Kanpur, Jhansi, Bahraich and Agra before the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. In this series, he will address his rally at Allahabad road ground about 14 km from Varanasi city.

Claiming that the rally was going to be historical in terms of the expected turnout, party’s satte president Laxmi Kant Bajpayee refuted the opposition’s charges that the tea vendors were being specially invited to the rally in addition to erecting a tea stall near the party office. Modi had earlier revealed that he used to sell tea in his early life, inviting a lot of criticism from the opposition.

 The BJP had made an elaborate arrangements to make ‘Vijay shankhnaad rally’ a  success and various hi-tech techniques like missed calls and SMSes on the mobiles were being provided.
