Bihar Diwas celebrations in full swing

The city is about to witness the culture and traditions of Bihar as on 104th foundation day of Bihar, Department of Industry, government of Bihar has organised ‘Bihar Utsav 2016’ at Dilli Haat- INA, which is being held from March 16-30. The third day of ‘Bihar Utsav 2016’ became the centre of attraction for the art lovers. 

The event, which is like an exhibition cum sale, has 55 Stalls showcasing the handicrafts and handloom products of Bihar while cultural programmes will be held from March 20-23. Main attractions on the stalls set up are Bhagalpuri silk, Madubani paintings, Siki products, famous handloom bed sheets of Bas Bigha wooden craft and leather products. 

Official inauguration of ‘Bihar Utsav 2016’ will be held on March 22 on the occasion of Bihar Diwas celebration. The theme of this year’s ‘Bihar Utsav 2016’, as decided by the Bihar government, is ‘Tourism, Tradition, Art and Culture and Ambience of Bihar’.  

For the first time a selfie zone has been created at Dilli Haat with “Mukhyamantrike Saat Nischaya” (seven commitment of Chief Minister of Bihar) and it is becoming the centre of attraction among the visitors. The Exhibition cum sale of handicrafts and handloom products of Bihar mainly made by artisans of Bihar represent the art, culture and heritage of Bihar, while emphasising on the development of Bihar. 

Along with this, the Food Court has been featuring a menu of mouth watering cuisines from Bihar at INA Dilli Haat. Some of the famous cuisines include Litti choka, son papdi, makhna kheer, Belgrami etc. People from different parts of the Capital are visiting in numbers to get a taste of Bihari culture and traditions.
