Singh arms Cong CMs with googlies for Niti

New Delhi: Former PM Manmohan Singh on Saturday held a meeting with the Chief Ministers of states ruled by the Congress and allied parties ahead of the crucial Niti Aayog meeting. At the meeting, it was decided to raise the issues of the revival of rivers, the need for taking new initiatives in the agriculture sector, amendment in the Forest Act for the welfare of tribal and their rehabilitation.

It was also discussed to raise the issue of planning policy to promote investment in Naxal-infested and tribal regions. The meeting was attended by Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy, Puducherry CM V Narayansamy and Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel.
