Security guard shoots Judge's wife, son in Ggn

Gurugram: Fear, shock and inaction was experienced on the streets of Gurugram after a security guard fired gun shots at Judge Krishna Kant Sharma's son and wife. Krishna Kant Sharma is the Additional Sessions Judge at Court 12 in District Court Gurugram. The guard later called the judge to inform him that he has shot his family.

The victims, who have been identified as Dhruv Sharma and Ritu Sharma, have sustained severe gun wounds and are at present receiving treatment at a private hospital in Gurugram, where their condition is said to be critical. The entire incident transpired at Sector 49 near Sohna Road where the accused, identified as 32-year-old Mahipal, escorted the son and mother to Arcadia mall in their Honda City.

Suddenly Constable Mahipal who had been serving the Judge and his family for a year and a half, fired gun shots at the son and wife whom he had driven to the market. The bullets hit Dhruv's neck and Ritu's chest. They both fell unconscious and fell out of the car.

Mahipal then stepped out of the car with his pistol and shouted in front of hundred of bystanders. He then tried to drag the unconscious body of Dhruv in the Honda City. After his attempts failed, he then drove the car leaving the injured behind.

This happened in front of hundreds of people in the market. Some even captured Mahipal's act on their mobile phone cameras. Though Mahipal fled the scene in the car, he was later arrested by the Gurugram police. He is a resident of Mahendergarh.
