Adityanath's 1st order to babus: Declare assets within 15 days

Within 24 hours of taking charge as 21st Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Adityanath Yogi held a meeting with senior bureaucrats on Monday at Lokkalyan Bhawan here and in his first major step to a transparent system the new CM directed all of them to declare their assets within 15 days. Adityanath who is known reckless fire brand leader of BJP on Sunday also issued the similar order to his ministers.

Apart from Adityanath, two deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharks were also present in the meeting. Moreover, the CM also stressed on restoration of law and order situation of the state. Earlier in the day, Chief Secretary Rahul Bhatnagar, the DGP and Principal Secretary Home Debashish Panda met him at the VVIP Guest House and reportedly, Adityanath directed them to communicate with all local administration of 75 districts of UP through video conference.

"We will work for the welfare of the people with full vigour and ensure that the work is visible on the ground," Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said during the meeting.

The issues of devastating law and order situation and corruption in the state have been prior to Bharatiya Janata Party since the election campaign. Even the party also highlighted these issues in its poll manifesto.

Following this at his first interaction with senior officials the chief minister also instructed them to ensure implementation of BJP's 'Sankalp Patra'.

"It was an introductory meeting with UP government officials. The officials were told that the Sankalp Patra has to be implemented," Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya told media after the meeting.

The meeting was attended by around 65 senior officials. The officials were given a copy of BJP's Sankalp Patra and instructions have been issued to them to prepare a roadmap for their respective departments, a senior BJP leader said.
