Bieber & Skrillex sued over ‘Sorry’

He claims the duo used her vocal loop without permission on the hit song ‘Sorry.’

White Hinterland, whose real name is Casey Dienel, claims the “unique characteristics of the female vocal riff” from her 2014 song ‘Ring the Bell’ is the same as that used on Bieber’s track, TMZ reported. Skrillex produced and wrote on the song.

Eight seconds of the ‘Ring the Bell’ riff is allegedly used six times in Bieber’s ‘Purpose’ standout track. Dienel reportedly claims she warned Bieber’s camp to stop using the similar part last December, but was ignored.

‘Ring the Bell’ has streamed more than 5,00,000 times on Spotify – more than any other on White Hinterland’s 2014 album ‘Baby’.
