‘Best time for anybody to be in Hindi films’
Actor Bhumi Pednekar, who played the endearing character of Sandhya in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, says she would love to be a part of an international project in future, but for now, she feels it’s a great time to stay in Hindi cinema.
Multiple Bollywood celebrities have been a part of international projects of late. Asked if she wants to be a part of an international project, Bhumi said: “I watched Hindi films and I wanted to act in Hindi films. I watched American shows since I was a child and I would love to be a part of it. For me, everything is a project. Of course, I would want to work abroad.” The actor, who is currently gearing up for her next release Manmarziyaan, added that since childhood she has been an “avid viewer of British and American shows”. But the actor says she is “very content and happy in Hindi films”.
“I feel that right now, Hindi films... with the way they are changing... this is the best time for anybody to be here. I feel like I am a part of that movement and part of that change that is
happening in Hindi films,” said the actor. “It is such a proud feeling. I am very happy just doing
good work here.”
