Bangladeshi man arrested at Salt Lake

The police have arrested a Bangladeshi national from College More at Salt Lake on Wednesday morning. 

Police said the youth Jahirul Islam was found loitering aimlessly in the busy Sector V. Local people informed the police finding him moving around. 

Policemen rushed to the spot and asked him about his whereabouts. He told the police that he is a resident of Satkhira in Bangladesh. But he failed to provide any relevant documents. “He neither had passport or any identification proof,” said a police officer. 

He was taken to police station where he was arrested after interrogation. Police wanted to know that how he had managed to enter Indian without having any valid passport. A police officer confirmed that the youth is mentally stable. “Thus, we have to ascertain that why he came to sector V and whether there is any person who had helped him to enter the country. It is important for us to ascertain his motive behind loitering at Sector V,” the police officer said.
