Baby show organised by Eastern Railway on Saturday

In order to promote healthy & hygienic up-keeping of babies, the B R Singh Hospital of Eastern Railway organized a baby show at the hospital auditorium on Saturday in the presence of J Swain, Chief Medical Director, Eastern Railway.

Around 100 babies registered for the show and the 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes were awarded to the chosen babies. Every participant was also received consolation prizes. There was a quiz competition among the participants’ mothers, the questions for which were based on health, personal hygiene, family welfare and breast feeding.

It must also be mentioned that the Neo-Natal department of B R Singh Hospital has state-of-the-art equipment used to treat the severely underweight babies (less than 1 kg) and is also capable of handling the babies born with extreme respiratory distress. The department is also equipped with Neo-Natal ventilation.
