Annashree Yojana on Gandhi Jayanti

Chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Sunday said that Delhi Annashree Yojana will be launched on 2 October. While laying the foundation stone of a community centre to be constructed by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in Kishangarh, Dikshit said the scheme would provide relief to over two lakh families presently not covered under the PDS.
She added that the families other than BPL and Antyodaya card holders, will be provided cash transfer of Rs 600 per month to be directly transferred to the senior most female member of the family to enable them to purchase foodgrain of their choice.
Speaker, Delhi Vidhan Sabha, Yoganand Shastri, Local MP, Ramesh Kumar, former MLA, Vijay Lochav, DDA Vice Chairman, Sanjay Srivastav and Jag Pravesh Kumar were also present on the occasion.
