Akshay Kumar is an underrated actor: Ileana D’Cruz

Ileana D’Cruz feels Akshay Kumar is an underrated actor despite having a huge body of work.

Ileana has teamed up with the Baby actor for the first time for Rustom and describes the experience of working with him as “amazing”.

“Working with Akshay was a revelation. I wasn’t expecting it to be the way it did. It was amazing. I’ve watched mainly his comedy films and I love him in that,” said Ileana.

“Akshay has done so many different genre of films. He has such an amazing graph, but he is one of the most underrated actors I’ve worked with. People talk about his comic timing, action status, but he is brilliant over all,” she added.

Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, Rustom is reportedly based on the 1959 Nanavati case where naval officer Kavas Maneckshaw Nanavati was tried for the murder of his wife’s lover, Prem Ahuja. Akshay, 48, plays a Naval officer in the film while Ileana will be seen as his wife. Rustom is scheduled to release on August 12.
