Akhilesh Katiyar meets Mamata Banerjee

Hardik Patel’s associate Akhilesh Katiyar, whose Akhil Bharatiya Patel Navanirman Sena is fighting for caste-based reservation in government jobs, on Friday met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to seek her support.

“I shared with her the atrocities committed against us in Gujarat. As a brother, I went to an elder sister to share my pain and how their democratic rights have been curbed. We want her support and consolation,” Katiyar said after meeting the Chief Minister at the state secretariat here.

Katiyar, general secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Patel Navanirman Sena, claimed that the Trinamool Congress supremo has told him that she is with them in their fight.

“Hardik had told us to go and meet her. She said their moral support is with us. She has assured us of all possible support,” Katiyar said.
