30-year-old neighbour rapes minor

A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour at Chitpur in the northern part of the city, police said on Friday.

The girl and the 30-year-old neighbour are tenants in the same house at Lala Babu Lane at Chitpur and the incident took place last night.

The man allegedly took the girl to a nearby vacant godown on the pretext of giving her chocolates and raped her, the victim’s mother alleged in her complaint. 

Based on the complaint, police arrested the man and  registered a case against him.
