25-yr-old Saudi diplomat dies in accident

A diplomat working in the Saudi Arabian Embassy died in a road accident on Saturday while he was riding on his Suzuki Hayabusa bike. The incident took place on Saturday early morning when the deceased with three of his friends left for a bike ride at 8 in the morning.

The police said that a group of four people were riding on individual bikes from Gurgaon to Surajkund via the Gurgaon-Faridabad Road when one of the biker didn’t see the blind cut.

The 25-year-old deceased identified as Salmaan Jedi (son of Hussain Jedi) missed a blind cut at the Bhandwari village on the Gurgaon-Faridabad Road. The bike lost its balance and skid into a diversion. Salmaan fell 20 metres away after the bike ran into a diversion.

Police officials revealed that the accident took place around 9.15 am after which the victim was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital, where the doctors declared him dead at around 11.35 am. 

“Even though he was wearing all protective gears, the accident was such that his arms and legs were smashed because of skidding on the road,” said an official from the private hospital.  

According to the information received, the deceased has been working in the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, New Delhi as a clerk staff since December 2014. The deceased used to live in one of the houses in Caitriona Apartment behind Gurgaon Ambience mall on National Highway-8.

A case has been registered in DLF Phase- I police station under Section 174 Code of Criminal Procedure (crpc) and the police is investigating the matter.
