20 police station OCs transferred in compliance with ECI rule

Officers-in-charge (OCs) of 20 police stations within Kolkata Police jurisdiction were transferred in compliance with the Election Commission of India rule that requires transferring such officers before an Assembly or Lok Sabha general election who have completed three years in a particular position in the past four years with or without a break.

Accordingly, Nurul Absar, who was posted at Special Task Force, will be new OC of Posta police station. Utpal Kumar Mukherjee, posted at Sinthee police statio,n has been transferred to Girish Park police station.

Chandan Ray Mukhopadhyay, OC of Alipore police station, has been transferred to Ballygunge police station. Debabrata Sarkar, OC of Beniapukur police station, will be new OC of Tiljala police station.

Amit De Sarkar, OC of Charu Market police station, has been transferred to Jadavpur police station. Sukumar Ghosh, OC of Posta police station, has been transferred to Jorabagan police station.

Raghunath Thakur, additional OC of Haridevpur police station, will be OC of Sinthee police station. Sujit Chakraborty, OC of Tiljala police station, has been transferred to Alipore police station.

Sanjay Sarkar, additional OC of Gariahat police station, will now be OC of Charu Market police station. Partha Mukherjee, who was posted at Special Branch, has been transferred as OC of North Port police station.

Amit Biswas, OC of Karaya police station, has been transferred to Beniapukur police station. Sheikh Ziaul Kader, OC of Girish Park, will now be OC of Ultadanga.

Sarat Kumar Mitra, OC of North Port police station, will be new OC of Cossipore police station.

Prabir Kumar Shah, OC of Pragati Maidan police station, will be new OC of Maidan police station. Pabitra Kumar Mukherjee, OC of Ballygunge police station, has been transferred as OC of New Market police station.

Ashis Das, OC of Jorabagan police station, has been transferred as OC of Pragati Maidan police station. Subrata Lahiri, OC of Ultadanga police station, will be now joining as OC of Karaya police station.

Vijoy Kumar Singh, OC of Jadavpur police station, will now be posted at Special Branch.

Mahadeb Chakraborty, OC of Kalighat police station, will be new OC of Hare Street police station. Santanu Sinha Biswas, OC of Hare Street police station, will be joining as new OC of Kalighat police station.
