15-year-old held for ‘rape’ at Vasant Kunj

A 15-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly raping a 5-year-old girl in south Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area on Saturday evening, police said. 

According to police, both the accused and the victim were from the same apartment. The girl’s father works as a driver.

The incident took place around 7 pm when the victim’s mother went outside to buy milk. When the accused found her alone, he barged into the flat and allegedly raped her. 

When her mother returned, the girl told her about the whole incident after which she made a police complaint. A police team came to the spot and arrested the accused at 2 am.

Meanwhile, the girl’s medical examination was also conducted. A case under POSCO Act was 

registered against him at Vasant Kunj police station and he was sent to juvenile correction home.
